Why am I so sure that troubles and their suffering are coming to America? It’s because we need them and God is faithful to send what we need.
Only the ignorant or arrogant could think that the church in America is even close to being the bride of Ephesians 5:26-27 that Jesus is coming for. And at this point nothing less than the trials of James 1:2-4 can set us free from the bondage to love for the world that we have so enthusiastically embraced.
As I wrote just yesterday – please read Hebrews 10:32 – 11:40 and see what enabled the saints of old to remain faithful to God and to each other in times of suffering. We have that model of the early Church to show us the way, and some of us have the example of our Anabaptist forefathers.
