More Like Jesus – 2

Yes, the reality of a lifetime of transformation into the image of Christ instills hope in me – for me and for you.

I don’t have to stay like I am today – even tomorrow can be different. I can change as He instructs and corrects me through the Word; by His Spirit to my spirit; and through others.

I can learn from the young and the old; those who speak blessing over me and those who wish me ill. Those who greet me with a genuine smile and those who avoid me. I can learn from what I cheerfully consider victories, and from what I confess with bowed head, as defeat. All are a natural part of the journey of the saint whose eye is set on things above and not on things of the earth. (Colossians 3:1-4)

It’s a process to be engaged in with deliberateness and sincerity and it’s not optional for Christians. It’s part of walking the Matthew 7:13-14 narrow path that leads to the narrow gate that opens into the endless expanses of the abundant life of the Kingdom of God (I never get tired of saying that). Jesus said that only a few will find it, but you can.

2026 can be a year full of new delights as God reveals more and more of Himself and the life He offers, to those why humbly seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness above all else. (Matthew 6:33) Let’s do it!

More to come.
