THE HARVEST WORKERS – B

Transformed passions and a new focus in life will mark the Church that is now being formed in the hearts of many. As God prepares us to bring in the harvest, we will come to care more about His Kingdom and His purposes then about things of the earth.
We will become a Spirit-filled, Spirit-led and Spirit-empowered force that is committed to holy living and to taking the Gospel to the ends of the earth. This comprehensive make-over will impact every area of life. It will be more rewarding than we can now imagine – – even if costly to the point of death.
Hear the words of Jesus, and then of Paul, as they speak of the task God has given us and the Helper whom He provides:
If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. 16) I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, so that He may be with you forever; 17) the Helper is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him; but you know Him because He remains with you and will be in you. John 14:15-17 nasb
But I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I am leaving; for if I do not leave, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. John 16:7 nasb
As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. John 17:18 niv
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8 niv
Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed. – – – – 4) There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5) There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6) There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. Are we ready to get to work in the power of His Spirit?
